A Moxie Tuesday Workshop: Grains & Gluten

Tuesday, November 22, 2016 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm

What is gluten? What is "whole" grain?  Learn methods of soaking and cooking grains for digestibility, and discuss the symptoms and prevalence of wheat sensitivity. Mercelyne will also introduce participants to nutritious grains other than wheat, and wheat-free substitutes. admission is gift-based with all proceeds going to support the work of Food Moxie. REGISTER HERE.

Food Moxie was created by the Board of Directors of the Weavers Way Cooperative Association in 2007 as a means to actively promote the health and well-being of the community in which it operates, and offer direct support to Philadelphia families in need.  In the years since, Food Moxie has become an independent nonprofit organization, offering a unique range of farm, nutrition, and culinary education programs, positively impacting the lives of thousands of children and families in Northwest Philadelphia and beyond.
