February is the perfect time to indulge in one of everybody's favorite pleasures: chocolate! Join FOOD MOXIE and Weavers Way Co-op for a truly tasty workshop presented by Joe from local confectionery Affinity Confections. Learn a little about why ancient civilizations deemed this delectable morsel the "food of the gods", some of its uses throughout history and its magical health benefits.
This workshop will feature scrumptious chocolate shortbread cookies for us to decorate (and eat!) thanks to Affinity Confections.
This program will take place at Kismet Cowork, a beautiful coworking space in Chestnut Hill. Have you been to Kismet yet? If not, this is a great opportunity to check it out!
The $5 registration fee supports the efforts of FOOD MOXIE. REGISTER HERE.
Weavers Way Co-op is pleased to offer this program in partnership with the non-profit FOOD MOXIE. Taking place the second Tuesday of each month, MOXIE Tuesdays are a series of workshops, including cooking demos, discussions about food, food justice and healthy eating.
FOOD MOXIE was created by the Board of Directors of the Weavers Way Cooperative Association in 2007. From seed to supper, FOOD MOXIE educates and inspires people to grow, prepare and eat healthy food. We work with children and families at Stenton Family Manor, as well as students at MLK High School and Saul High School.
