Workshop: Save-the-Planet Upcycling/Recycling - Paper Cards with Artist Mindy Flexer

Tuesday, November 12, 2019 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Artists have always specialized in transforming old things into new things. Adults and children are invited to join us and participate in this tradition, using drawing, painting, constructing, and collaging.

In this sustainability art workshop, working member and local Germantown artist Mindy Flexer will teach you how to turn old paper into something beautiful and new by making it into cards and envelopes for the holidays or any other purpose. You can make simple postcards, fold-over cards with envelopes, or cards that pop up, fold up, or turn into mini-books. Feel free to bring old calendars, greeting cards, magazines, wrapping paper, or other interesting paper you would like to give a new life, or use what's on hand.

>>FREE. Pre-registration is required. ALL ages are welcome! REGISTER HERE.

Mindy Flexer taught art for eight years at Greene Street Friends School and now teaches from her studio. Mindy loves sharing her passion for art with students of any age and invites people to her studio to share in the journey!
