Wellness Workshop: MINDFUL ACTION

Thursday, March 2, 2017 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm

These days many people seem to be experiencing a lot of fear and worry. And, commonly, with fear, comes reactivity. While our feelings may be quite normal, even necessary and justified, we still have a responsibility, to ourselves and to others, not to act out, which can lead us into a continuous cycle of energetic crash-and-burn, and cause a lot of collateral damage!

Before asking “What can we do?” to create more stability and strength in our lives, we will spend some time in this workshop looking at what kind of foundation each of us needs to establish in our personal lives. Then we'll look for ways to move beyond fear and reactivity very deliberately, into a position of grounding calm and clarity, passing through a variety of somatic interventions involving self-reflection, breath-awareness, mindfulness, movement, and sensory perception.
