A Moxie Tuesday Workshop: Understanding Micronutrients in Your Food

Tuesday, December 13, 2016 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm

Understanding nutrition can be wonderfully empowering for the health of you and your family. At this talk, you'll learn about micronutrients such as vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients, and discover the important role these nutrients have on your gut bacteria, digestion, immunity and more. You'll also learn about particular foods that are nutrition powerhouses and why.

The workshop will be led by Clinical Nutritionist and Herbalist Wendy Romig of Sage Integrative Health Center. Admission is gift-based, with all proceeds collected going directly to support the work of Food Moxie. REGISTER HERE.

Look out for Food Moxie workshops, cooking demos and other food-centric events every Tuesday night! Food Moxie was created by the Board of Directors of the Weavers Way Cooperative Association in 2007 as a means to actively promote the health and well-being of the community in which it operates, and offer direct support to Philadelphia families in need. In the years since, Food Moxie has become an independent nonprofit organization, offering a unique range of farm, nutrition, and culinary education programs, positively impacting the lives of thousands of children and families in Northwest Philadelphia and beyond.
