Health & Wellness Workshop: The Mechanics of Gait

Tuesday, July 30, 2019 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm

The way you walk has a tremendous impact on your health, for better or worse. Working member Dan Vidal will guide this workshop, which is designed to show exactly how poor gait patterns can lead to many of the painful, degenerative conditions associated with aging. Participants will leave with a basic working understanding of the biomechanics and anatomical structures involved in human gait. They will also learn how to apply these concepts to their own movement patterns. This class is part lecture and part active movement participation. Students should come as prepared to listen and take notes as they are to get up and move! You can bring a yoga mat if you wish but it is not necessary.

>>FREE. Pre-registration is required. SPACE IS LIMITED. REGISTER HERE.

Dan Vidal is a licensed massage therapist who specializes in a specific modality called Neurosomatic Therapy (NST). NST practitioners operate under the foundational principle that the form of the body determines how it functions, and vice versa. He specializes in biomechanics, pain treatment and postural analysis.
