Backyard Film Screening: TAPPED!

Thursday, August 15, 2019 - 8:30pm to 10:00pm

Let's talk about those PLASTIC bottles, folks! Join us for a compelling documentary film screening in the Backyard at Weavers Way in Chestnut Hill.

Brought to you by the Co-op's own Plastics Reduction Task Force, in partnership with the SE PA Sierra Club and with the support of the Climate Action Network of Northwest Philly:

'"TAPPED” reveals a mostly unregulated industry that privatizes our water and sells it back to us. From the production of plastic bottles to the ocean where so many of them end up, we follow the machinations of bottled water and witness how communities are affected. This revelatory film depicts a powerful story that remains largely omitted from everyday discourse and features portraits of lives caught at the intersection of big business, environmentalism, and the public’s right to water.

BYO lawn chairs, blankets, and adult beverage if desired! Settle in any time after 7:30 p.m and enjoy free watermelon while the sun sets. Showtime at 8:30 sharp!
