WEAVERS WAY MEMBERS! GET YOUR HOURS IN HELPING AWBURY!

The Awbury Food Forest is a permaculture-style planting creating both habitat and edible resources in a sustainable way. Awbury Stewards of the Food Forest and members of the PHILADELPHIA ORCHARD PROJECT work together every third Saturday of the month to maintain all aspects of the Food Forest. Volunteers will get their hands dirty engaging in a variety of tasks including but not limited to weeding, fruit tree pruning, sheet mulching, and transplanting plants. Come volunteer your time but also learn about unique gardening techniques, woody and perennial edible plants, and their care throughout the season.

ALL AGES ARE WELCOME! Please notify Karen Flick upon registering of any limitations, allergies of concern, or special assistance needed.

Please bring garden gloves if you have them and dress appropriately for the weather and for working in nature. Closed-toe shoes required.

In the case of inclement weather, garden group may be canceled or the project changed.

Registered participants will be contacted directly by Karen Flick, Landscape Manager (KFlick@Awbury.org).

Please note: If you have registered and need to check for updates related to weather, etc., click here.
