19th Annual Empty Bowl Dinner to Benefit Philadelphia Interfaith Hospitality Network

Wednesday, November 15, 2017 - 4:00pm to 8:30pm

United Lutheran Seminary is proud to host the 19th annual Empty Bowl Dinner to benefit Philadelphia Interfaith Hospitality Network (PIHN). This fundraising event advances PIHN's mission to find lasting solutions to family homelessness and its underlying causes. Come enjoy family friendly activities and live entertainment, including special guest host Mike McGrath of WHYY's "You Bet Your Garden!"

For a modest donation — the minimum is $25 for adults, $10 for students and children — guests receive a free handcrafted bowl, and they can enjoy an all-you-can-eat feast of fresh soups, breads and desserts. At the end of the meal, each attendee leaves with an empty bowl as a reminder that every night in the city of Philadelphia, 1,000 children go without a meal or a place to call home.

The event features three separate seatings:

  • 4-5:30 p.m.
  • 5:30-7 p.m.
  • 7-8:30 p.m.
